Thorens TD124

These superb custom made Audio Classique Thorens TD124/SME Acrylic Armboards are for mounting an SME 3012 S2, SME 3009 S1, 3009 S2 or S3 onto a TD124 Mk1 or Mk 2 Transcription Motor Unit.

Made from laser cut 10mm high gloss cast acrylic, this Armboard compliments the finish of both the TD 124 and SME 3009 or 3012 perfectly and as can be seen make the whole assembly look absolutely stunning.

This brand new Audio Classique product is far superior to the original acrylic armboards, using the very best quality materials and being 10mm thick (the original was about 5mm) it matches the height and profile of the TD124 perfectly and provides a much more rigid base for the tone arm. In additional mountings positions have been optimised for impoved cartridge alignment.

Supplied with a new set of stainless steel tonearm mounting hardware.

Linn Sondek LP12

These superbly designed and engineered armbords are custom made for the Linn Sondek LP12 turntable, each one is individually designed for a specific tone am. They are made from laser cut 10mm high gloss cast acrylic with integrated fittings. The Armboard compliments the finish of the LP12 perfectly and the turntable / tone arm assembly looks absolutely stunning. This Audio Classique product is far superior to the original laminated and MDF Armboards. Created using the highest quality materials, the Armboard matches the height and profile of the original perfectly. The existing tone arm fitted to your LP12 the Armboard can be swapped to your new Audio Classique armboard without the need to adjust the LP12. The caste acrylic construction will provide an extremely stable base for the tone arm.

The most significant feature of the Audio Classique LP12 Armboard is that whilst the Armboard is a straight swap for the original and uses the original sub-chassis mountings holes, the Audio Classique Armboard has an integrated sub-chassis mounting system secured by stainless steel cap head screws. This feature allows the Armboard to be removed time and again for maintenance and cartridge changing without ANY fear of wood screws stripping or becoming loose and meaning that the Armboard is securely attached to the sub chassis with the whole suspended sub-chassis system integrated as one.
This superbly engineered high gloss Acrylic Armboard is for mounting an SME 3009 S1, S2 or S3 onto a Linn Sondek LP12 Turntable. It will also be suitable for other tone arms such as Mission 774 and Hadcock G228 (when using the Hadcock SME adaptor plate).
A unique feature of the Audio Calssique SME 3009 Armboard is that the tone arm mounting has been re-engineered and now provides a highly effective but simple integrated mounting arrangement for the SME. Allowing it to be set up perfectly putting the rubber grommets under perfect compression or to be tightened down firmly if hard mounted (without grommets). All achieved without the need to access the underside of the turntable.
You will be absolutely delighted with the appearance of these Audio Classique Armboards and even more so with the level of design, attention to detail and ultimately improvements in sound and clarity. The Armboard comes complete with an Audio Classique Stainless Steel Hardware mounting kit for both the Tone arm (for SME only) and Armboard.

Stainless Steel Domed Armboard retaining Screws for Thorens TD124 Armboards



 The original Thorens TD124 Armboard screws are no longer available and as these were made from chrome plated low grade metal they corroded easily and the chrome plating flaked off the domed heads.
 
Original replacements are almost impossible to source and new substitutes, if you can find them invariably do not have domed heads - if you do find some, try buying just the 3 you need.
 
These A2 grade Stainless Steel Screws are a very close replication - their length and thread pitch being the same as the original.  However, the polished domed head does have a slightly smaller diameter than the original, by approximately 1.2mm which is hardly noticeable in use and if you are making a new Armboard the countersunk holes can be perfectly matched. These domed heads match the optomised countersunk hole in my acylic TD124 Armboards.
 
Replace your flaky rusted Thorens screws with these stainless replacements and enhance the appearance of your TD 124.

P1 SME type Spacer

Manufactured in stunning black laser cut 10mm high gloss cast acrylic - also available in 5mm

This new Audio Classique product is far superior to the original acrylic mounts - made using the very best quality materials and latest technology.

This new P1 Spacer, accurately manufactured from 10mm laser cut high gloss cast black acrylic. It will raise the base plate of an SME or equivalent tonearm by 10mm.

Allowing you to get best out of a Garrard 401, Garrard 301, Thorens TD124 or other equivalent turntable by raising the height of an SME 3009 / 3012 (or equivalent) to allow the correct VTA (Vertical Tracking Angle) to be set.

It will also enhance the appearance and adjustability of your tone arm

This is an excellent tuntable accessory which will strengthen your bass and tighten up you treble. Really effective with MC cartridges which generate a lot of energy into the record surface.

Also has the benefit of helping to combat the slight warps and undulation present in vinyl that have a detrimental effect on the performance and sound of your cartridge. By reducing these undulation it helps to eliminate the the vertical acceleration forces that a stylus/cantilever are subjected to during playback reducing distortion and protecting the cartridge.

Looks absolutely superb on and works particularly well with Transcriptors or Michell turntables. Finished with a thick black felt base to protect the record label and other surfaces.

Nothing to screw up or tighten - just drops over the Spindle and it stays there.
